Housing Support Program 2013-14 grant recipients

The following Housing Support projects were approved in 2013-14.

Successful recipients within the inner north of Brisbane receive funding for projects and services that respond to the housing and social needs of homeless people, or those living in social housing. Five organisations received funding for a total funding amount of $26,673.18.

139 Club Inc Provide arts equipment to 15 people who are homeless or living in social housing to hold a market stall to sell artworks. $1872
Australian Red Cross Society Develop resource packs to assist 40 young people transitioning into long term housing and support them to access community activities, support services and social and sporting clubs. $5000
Churches of Christ in Queensland Provide mentoring services to 15 tenants with mental health issues, helping them to access support services to sustain their tenancies. $7000
Footprints in Brisbane Inc Provide cleaning items, de-cluttering, removalist services and 'Cooking on a Budget' workshops to 60 clients who are living in social housing. $10,000
Mission Australia Provide workshops to 30 participants on cooking, nutrition, managing a budget, food handling and storage, that may lead to future employment. $2801.18
