Housing Support Program 2014-15 grant recipients

The following Housing Support projects were approved in 2014-15.

Successful recipients within the inner north of Brisbane receive funding for projects and services that respond to the housing and social needs of homeless people, or those living in social housing. Three organisations received funding for a total funding amount of $28,547.

Brisbane Youth Service Inc Provide individualised assistance to homeless and at-risk young people, through the provision of essential household items needed to establish their tenancies. $10,000
Communify Queensland Ltd Purchase of welcome packs, assembled and distributed across a network of community centres within Brisbane's inner north. Packs will be offered to 100 new residents of the Brisbane Housing Company. They will include basic household items to assist in establishing and maintaining their tenancy. $8547
Footprints in Brisbane Inc To support those who have been homeless to develop life skills to assist them to sustain social housing tenancies. To provide a 'Healthy Eating on a Budget' program and Touch Rugby program. Tenants experiencing hoarding and/or squalor issues are also provided with cleaning packs. $10,000
