Housing Support Program 2015-16 grant recipients

The following Housing Support projects were approved in 2015-16.

Successful recipients within the inner north of Brisbane receive funding for projects and services that respond to the housing and social needs of homeless people, or those living in social housing.

Three organisations received funding for a total funding amount of $29,100.

Organisation Project Amount approved
Brisbane Housing Company Limited The project will provide a series of workshops for up to 60 Brisbane Housing Company tenants. The workshops will focus on improving the physical and mental health and well-being of tenants, and increase their social connections with each other and the wider community. $9700
Brisbane Youth Service The project will fund homeless and at risk young people to acquire essential resources that support them to 'set up' or establish and sustain tenancies. This tailored support is to meet a basic standard of living. $9700
Queensland Shelter Inc To form a steering committee of consumers, service providers and real estate agents to develop an online educative resource (YouTube, video, DVD). The resource will equip homeless and social housing tenants with the knowledge and skills to successfully access and sustain private rental housing. $9700
