Men's Shed Grants
The Brisbane City Council Men's Shed Grant supports Men's Shed groups in Brisbane. This program provides a safe, supportive and friendly environment for men of all ages to gather, volunteer, work and seek fellowship with like-minded people. The grant provides funding for:
- establishment and coordination expenses
- facility improvements
- equipment and material purchases.

Funding amounts range from a minimum of $2000 to $20,000.
Funding round dates
Applications for this grant are now closed.
Applicants for the 2016-17 round will be notified of the outcome of their application in mid May 2017.
An applicant should be an incorporated not-for-profit organisation.
An unincorporated not-for-profit organisation may also apply, under the auspices of an incorporated not-for-profit organisation able to accept legal and financial responsibility for the applicant’s project.
Applicants must operate within the Brisbane City Council Local Government Area (LGA).
Applicants must not have any overdue Council grant acquittals or outstanding debts with Council.
Acquittal reports for successful applicants
Advice on how to access the online acquittal form will be emailed to the grant applicant after payment has been made. Acquittals must be completed within 12 months of the grant approval notification letter.
Grant recipients with overdue acquittal reports are not eligible to apply for grants.
