STATUS:CONFIRMED
DESCRIPTION:
I am an Indonesian dance teacher based in Brisbane City. I have been teaching dance for many years in Indonesia, USA and now Australia. I have had several of my students perform overseas and globally which was wonderful. I feel that I have had the best job ever teaching this style of dance.

The dance I’ll be teaching is called Lalayon, which is a social dance originally from Ternate North Maluka Islands Indonesia. Lalayon portrays a story about togetherness in the community. It’s a relaxing Indonesian social dance which is low impact and fun to do. The dance uses two handkerchiefs; one held in each hand as the main prop of the dance property.

This style of dance will assist with focus, hand and finger movements as well as the unique monotone footsteps. This is all placed together enhancing flowing beautiful movements accompanied by an easy listening style of music.
