DESCRIPTION:Bring the family to the Brisbane Emergency Services Expo for a free day of fun, learning and hands-on experiences. Meet your emergency services heroes, explore emergency vehicles up close and learn simple steps you can take to prepare your home and family for severe weather.
Local experts will be on hand to share practical advice, and you can view equipment, products and services to help you get ready at home, all in the one place.
There will be plenty for kids and families to enjoy, including Paw Patrol shows and Meet and Greets, face painting, a jumping castle, food trucks, a sausage sizzle and more.

About the expoNow in its fifth year, the Brisbane Emergency Services Expo is a free, family-friendly event that brings emergency services, government agencies and community organisations together in one place.
The Expo is a practical and fun way to get ready for storm season. Visitors can speak with local experts, view emergency service vehicles and find products and services that may help them prepare their home and property. There will be interactive displays, hands-on activities, demonstrations and entertainment for all ages.
You can also learn how to create an emergency plan, prepare an emergency kit and take simple steps to help protect your household during severe weather and disasters.

What’s on at the expo?- A stage program will be available one week prior to the event. On the day, program signs will be displayed throughout the venue. Check back regularly for updates, as session times may change.
Where can I park?- Limited parking is available beside the dog park off Reinhold Crescent, Chermside (view map) and may fill up quickly. Once parked, follow the Downfall Creek Bikeway along Newman Road to the event.
- Limited street parking is available in nearby streets.
Is there accessible parking?- There are 4 accessible parking spaces available on Delaware Street. See the traffic controllers to gain access.
Is there public transport available?- Public transport options are available. To plan your journey, visit the Translink website.
Will there be food and drinks available?- Food trucks will be available offering a range of cuisines, as well as ice cream, snow cones, sausage sizzle and more.
Will there be water available?- Yes, hydration stations will be available for free water refills. Bring a reusable water bottle.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?- Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. Note this is an alcohol-free event.
- Seating and shade areas will be provided, and you are welcome to bring picnic blankets if you would like to relax under the shade of trees.
Are dogs allowed?- Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. If your pet is uncomfortable with crowds, noise, children or other animals, reconsider bringing them.
- Bring water and clean up after your pet.
What if I need First Aid?- First Aid officers will be located next to the Information Tent.
What should I do if my child becomes separated from me?- Notify event staff or visit the Information Tent immediately.
