DESCRIPTION:<p>Join us for fun activities and a special Kamishibai story about an intrepid young shorebird, &#39;Tom the Red-necked Stint&#39; as he travels from the Arctic tundra all the way to Boondall wetlands in Moreton Bay. This special Bush Kindy celebrates Brisbane City Council&rsquo;s sister wetlands at Yatsu Higata tidelands in Narashino, Japan.</p><p>Bush Kindy is for children aged 3-5, alongside their parents and carers. Be immersed in the natural surroundings of the reserve as children build nature confidence through bushwalks, exploration, story-time, art &#39;n&#39; craft and much more. Bush Kindy sessions can go up to 45 minutes and will go ahead in light rain. Themes vary each week.</p><p>This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity, <a href="mailto:KFDC@brisbane.qld.gov.au" target="_blank">send an email</a>.</p><p><strong>Requirements on the day:</strong></p><ul>	<li>Arrive minimum 10 minutes early to check in.</li>	<li>All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult.</li>	<li>Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed walking shoes (no thongs or open shoes please), sunscreen, and bring insect repellent.</li>	<li>Suitable old clothes recommended for messy play.</li>	<li>Bring water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site.</li></ul><p><strong>Note:&nbsp;</strong>All outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.</p>
