DESCRIPTION:<strong>Gathering</strong> presents <strong>Bingkin Ngugi</strong>.&nbsp;<p>Bingkin Ngugi (Dean Tyson) is a story holder, a Mundu (didgeridoo) musician/song man and celebrated Goori Artist. Matrilineal blood to country; Meerooni clan of the Gurang nation. From Baffle Creek in the south to the foothills along ManyPeaks Range, north to Boyne River, back along the coast to Baffle creek. Patrilineal blood to country; Ngugi and Goenpul clans of Quandamooka. Moreton Island, Ngugi. Gorenpul, North Stradbroke Island, Southern Moreton Bay Islands and some parts of mainland (Redlands).</p><p>Bingkin tells of Goori Education from traditional dreaming stories and the Lore. Biŋkin also demonstrates cultural artefacts and other tools and weaponry. Biŋkin Ngugi shares knowledge of the Goori way of life &amp; Goori way of thinking, always was and always will be Goori Land.&nbsp;</p><p>Spend lunch time with us on Wednesday 15 July from 12 noon to 1pm, and enjoy an interactive workshop exploring the art of ochre, didgeridoo performance and cultural storytelling led by Bingkin Ngugi.&nbsp;</p><p>This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tive Nations.&nbsp;</p>
