DESCRIPTION:<p>Prepare your home for summer storms with Council&#39;s free green waste drop-off weekends!</p><p>Make the most of our free green waste recycling event to ensure you correctly dispose of your household garden waste.</p><p>The 2026 free green waste drop-off weekends will be held on:</p><ul>	<li>Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August</li>	<li>Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September</li>	<li>Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October.</li></ul><p>The <a href="https://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/bins-waste-and-recycling/waste-and-recycling-facilities/resource-recovery-centres" target="_blank">resource recovery centres</a> are open from 6.30am to 5.45pm every day, located at:</p><ul>	<li>728 Tilley Road, Chandler</li>	<li>101 Upper Kedron Road, Ferny Grove</li>	<li>1372 Nudgee Road, Nudgee Beach</li>	<li>360 Sherbrooke Road, Willawong.</li></ul><p>Acceptable green waste includes:</p><ul>	<li>branches</li>	<li>grass clippings</li>	<li>loose bark</li>	<li>palm fronds</li>	<li>pruning from shrubs, trees and weeds.</li></ul><p>Outside of these dates, residents can use their <a href="https://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/bins-waste-and-recycling/waste-and-recycling-facilities/resource-recovery-centres/waste-vouchers" target="_blank">waste vouchers</a> or their green waste recycling bin to dispose of garden waste.</p>
