DESCRIPTION:<p dir="ltr">Meet some of the Environment Centre’s resident insects and other mini-beasts at a fun bug show, then test out your detective skills on a short walk investigating bugs and their habitats. What will we find living nearby? Learn how you can help these bugs using citizen science app, iNaturalist.</p><p dir="ltr">Join this one-of-a-kind school holiday activity to discover fascinating facts about bugs and other mini-beasts and find out why these amazing animals are nature’s superheroes!</p><p dir="ltr">This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity, <a href="mailto:DCBC%40brisbane.qld.gov.au" dir="ltr">send an email</a>.</p><p dir="ltr"><b><strong>Bookings requirements:</strong></b></p><ul><li value="1" dir="ltr">All adults and children require a ticket. A ratio of 1 adult per 4 children is required. Maximum 5 tickets per booking.</li><li value="2" dir="ltr">If you cannot attend this event, please cancel your booking online via Eventbrite.</li><li value="3" dir="ltr">As our program is popular, your tickets will be forfeited if you do not arrive in time for the session to make way for available attendees.</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><b><strong>Requirements on the day:</strong></b></p><ul><li value="1" dir="ltr">Arrive 10 minutes before starting time to check in with staff at the Environment Centre.</li><li value="2" dir="ltr">All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult.</li><li value="3" dir="ltr">Wear sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, and bring sunscreen and insect repellent.</li><li value="4" dir="ltr">Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.</li><li value="5" dir="ltr">Recommend downloading the app "iNaturalist" before attending.</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><b><strong>Note:</strong></b> This event will go ahead in light rain. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.</p>
