This workshop is about turning ideas into something bigger and looking at writing tricks and techniques to help you build your poetry as well as getting you ready to take those poems to the stage!</p><p>Slam: A slam is an open mic competition where anyone can take the stage to share a poem, rap, song lyrics, shopping list (if its original work we will allow it) and the crowd judges the acts to find the ultimate winner!</p><p>You get 2 mins 30 on the mic to show us what you&rsquo;re made of.</p><p>Don&rsquo;t want to perform? We need judges &amp; audience to make this work.</p><p>Come and see who gets crowned winner of the inaugural Youth Week Poetry Slam!</p>
