2019 Future BNE Challenge - World Science Festival Brisbane
As part of World Science Festival Brisbane in March 2019, Brisbane City Council will host the Green Heart Schools Future BNE Challenge - an interactive, innovation-focused event imagining Brisbane as a city of the future. As part of this event, school teams will evaluate local and global challenges faced by cities and record a video pitch about their solution to make Brisbane the cleanest, greenest, most sustainable city in Australia.
The Future BNE Challenge is for Year 7 students and is linked to the Australian Curriculum and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. It will be held at Brisbane City Hall on Wednesday 20 March 2019. Participating schools will be invited to attend the official program welcome (including pre-event activities and guest speakers) at 8.30am. In 2019, the Future BNE learning challenge will run one session only between 8.30am-2pm.
