Community Garden Guide

Brisbane City Council has created a Community Garden Guide to help residents with an interest in establishing and managing community gardens.

This free guide contains valuable tips and advice about how to start, maintain and get the most out of a community garden.

There are over 40 community gardens and city farms already established across Brisbane; they can be found in many different locations including on school or church grounds, at community centres and in parks.

If the option to join an existing garden is not available, and you are considering starting your own community garden, please contact Council as your first step to discuss your idea.
