Join the Wildlife Conservation Partnership Program (WCPP)

Currently we have over 600 Wildlife Conservation Partnership Program (WCPP) partners, all private landholders. Our partners are actively conserving more than 2,000 hectares of land. This is an area larger than the size of Mt Coot-tha Forest Reserve and Tinchi Tamba Wetlands combined.

Participation in the program is free, voluntary and does not affect the landholders' ownership rights.

Eligibility criteria

If your property is large enough to protect or reinstate at least 0.5 hectares (i.e. 5000m2 or 1.3 acres) of bushland habitat, then you may be eligible to join.
Farms, bush blocks, schools, golf courses, public institutions and commercial properties that meet the partnership criteria are also eligible to join and benefit from the program's advice and assistance.

Desirable attributes include:
  • presence of a waterway
  • connection to a larger bushland area
  • connection to other WCPP participating properties
  • presence of known threatened animal and/or plant species
  • willingness of owner to protect and improve the habitat qualities of the land
