QSO Favourites: Queensland Symphony Orchestra - Music on Sundays

With entertaining and informative hosts, Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s Music on Sundays concerts are the perfect pre-lunch activity in the heart of South Bank, in a convenient 90-minute timeslot.

The feel-good QSO Favourites concert features some of the most recognisable and loved pieces in the classical canon, as chosen by Queensland Symphony Orchestra's (QSO) 2025 audience vote. Every work is a crowd-pleaser, starting with the soaring heroics in Coates’ Dam Busters March.

You’ll also hear Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony (1st movement), a lyrical walk through the Viennese countryside, and Elgar’s complete Enigma Variations - a musical portrait of friendship, warmth, and mystery.

Elgar returns with a special solo moment: 2025 Young Instrumentalist Prize winner Patrick Phillips performs the passionate finale of his Cello Concerto.

Conducted by Douglas Boyd and hosted by Ed Le Brocq, this concert is full of music you know and love.
