Getting to and from the gardens
The Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha are located at Mt Coot-tha Road, Toowong, approximately 15 minutes drive from the Brisbane City centre.
Getting to the gardens by car
Get directions to the gardens by selecting the 'view larger map' hyperlink and selecting 'get directions'.
Entry to the carpark is from Mt Coot-tha Road.
Parking and access
Free parking is available in the gardens. When the carpark is full, alternative parking may be available at J.C. Slaughter Falls carpark (Mt Coot-tha Reserve, off Sir Samuel Griffith Drive) and Anzac Park surrounds (170 Mt Coot-tha Road).
Wheelchair accessible parking is available and access for the frail and people with a disability is possible to most areas of the gardens. The Brisbane Mobility Map, available from the Administration Building, gives detailed access information.
On weekdays, vehicles are permitted to drive on the ring road until 4pm. Gates are closed to vehicular access within the gardens on weekends, public holidays and from 4pm weekdays.
NOTE: There have been changes to the car park for 2017 due to the construction of the new Visitor Information Centre. Parking may be slightly reduced especially at peak times. To find out more, phone Brisbane Botanic Gardens during business hours on 07 3403 2535.

There have been changes to the car park for 2017 and the designated bus parking area has been moved from where it was next to the Planetarium, to the slip lane in front of the Auditorium. Students may be dropped off and picked up at the current Brisbane City Council bus stop and the bus then moved to the parking bay area. Getting to the gardens by cycle
Bicycles are permitted on the ring road only.
