Guided walks

Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha. Walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. 

Walk information and bookings

Walks leave twice daily (Monday-Saturday) from the Visitor Information Centre at 11am and 1pm. Walks are not available on public holidays.

Guided walks unavailable Wednesday 25 April
Council advises that guided walks of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha will be unavailable on Wednesday 25 April.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

It is not necessary for individuals or small groups to book these walks. Large groups or groups with a special interest can make a booking for a customised tour by phoning 07 3403 2535.

Becoming a volunteer guide

The Brisbane Botanic Gardens' volunteer guides are a group of people from all walks of life. They share knowledge and enthusiasm for the plant collections of the gardens. Volunteers are always welcome and this is a great way to share your interest in plants and the gardens with others.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer guide, phone 07 3403 2531 Monday to Friday to speak with the Volunteer Guide Officer.  Alternatively you can email the Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha to indicate your interest in becoming a volunteer guide.
