Wi-Fi in South Bank Parklands
South Bank Parklands in partnership with Brisbane City Council and South Bank Corporation is now offering free wireless internet (Wi-Fi) access within the South Bank Parklands precinct.
Council is also offering free Wi-Fi within the surrounds of Queen Street Mall, Reddacliff Place, on the Victoria Bridge, in the Brisbane Central Business District, Brisbane precincts of James Street and Caxton Street/Given Terrace and in 22 parks and public spaces across Brisbane. Wi-Fi service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Anyone can access it with a Wi-Fi enabled device.
Enabled devices include:
- personal computers
- video game consoles
- mobile phones
- MP3 players
- personal digital assistants.
To connect to the service within South Bank Parklands, search your wireless networks, select 'Brisbane Free Wi-Fi', and read and accept the terms and conditions. No login is required.
Telstra provides end-user support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
A hotline is available to assist users in the listed Wi-Fi-enabled parks and public spaces. The hotline number is 1800 384 685. Look for this number in hotspot areas.
Hotspot areas are to be used in a fair and community-minded manner. Council may choose to limit downloads and connection times and use content filtering systems as part of this service. More information can be found in the terms and conditions.
