Star rating reassessment

If you have made improvements to your food safety management practices since your previous primary audit and want Brisbane City Council to reassess your star rating, you can request a reassessment audit for a fee.

A reassessment audit will be conducted only after a set time period has elapsed since the last primary audit:

  • three-star rating or above can be reassessed after a six month period
  • two-star rating or less can be reassessed after a three month period.

To request a reassessment audit, complete the Food business - eat safe audit review or reassessment online form and pay the relevant fee with Mastercard or Visa.

Table with size premises and reassessment audit fee.
Size premises Reassessment audit fee
Less than 250 square metres $815.75
250 square metres to 1000 square metres $1115.55
More than 1000 square metres $3495.15

These fees do not attract GST.

Alternatively, you can complete the Food business reassessment audit request hard copy form. Follow the instructions on the form and return the completed form to the outlined address.
