Event notification to stakeholders
Residents, businesses and local authorities need to be notified before you hold an event.
A copy of this notification information must be provided to Brisbane City Council.
Required notifications include:
- letterbox drop to residents and businesses within one kilometre of the event. The letter must include a complaint hotline number for the day of the event. The complaint hotline number, with a key contact person is also to be provided to Council
- Queensland Fire and Rescue Service
- Queensland Police Service - for events within a single police region, contact your local police station. Events involving multiple police regions are coordinated by the QPS Major Events Unit in Brisbane
- Councillor of the local ward where the event is to be held
