A student accommodation initiative by Development Services, which has already delivered more than 2000 beds, has seen the team awarded a Lord Mayor’s Award for Excellence.

We’re nearly six months into working with the Planning Act 2016 and the greatest challenge our customers are experiencing is with land owner’s consent (LOC) as 75% of development applications (DA) lodged, are not yet addressing this requirement correctly.

Brisbane City Council has adopted amendments to Brisbane City Plan 2014 to include a new Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP), which took effect on 29 June 2018.

The time it takes your project to be assessed is subject to a number of factors; however, Development Services has identified two ways to help avoid delays.

Council granted a Preliminary Approval at 469 Settlement Road, Keperra on 31 October 2017 for the site formerly used and known as the Keperra Quarry.

It’s been a big year for City Planning at Council with four strategies currently open for public notification, five with the Queensland Government for review, and several citywide amendments recently adopted by Council.

For nearly a decade, Development Services (DS) has been on a journey of continuous improvement with a particular focus on efficient business processes; this started with our move of assessing files electronically.
