Development application lodgement tips

The time it takes your project to be assessed is subject to a number of factors; however, Development Services has identified two ways to help avoid delays.

Landowner's consent

  • To assist the smooth processing of an application, it is helpful to submit a current Title Search with all applications to verify ownership.
  • Where the owner is a corporation, include the ACN/ABN number accompanied by:
    • where more than one officer holder:
      • the names, titles and signatures of two directors of the company
      • the name, title and signature of a director and the company secretary
    • where the company only has one director:
      • the name and signature of that director in conjunction with the written indication that the company only has one director.

Plans

  • Ensure all proposed demolition on pre-1946 dwellings is clearly marked on relevant plans to indicate which parts of the dwelling are to be removed.
  • When making change applications, it is helpful to include plans and/or drawings that make it very clear what the proposed changes are.
