Citywide amendment - Biodiversity
To ensure City Plan remains effective and up-to-date, Brisbane City Council adopted a package of amendments to its biodiversity provisions in Brisbane City Plan 2014 (City Plan). The amendment reflects improved biodiversity mapping and changes in legislation, as well as previous community and industry feedback.
The amendment package
The amendment package followed the major amendment process as outlined in the Queensland Government's guideline for Making and amending local planning instruments.
Amendments were made to the Biodiversity areas overlay map to refine the mapping and change the sub-categories, include Queensland Government mapping and refine and amend biodiversity related provisions of City Plan.
