Heritage report

Brisbane City Plan 2014 designates particular places having heritage values as a heritage place. The heritage overlay map identifies sites as local heritage, state heritage or area adjoining local or state heritage.

Development on or adjoining a heritage place is not to detract from the cultural heritage significance of that heritage place. This includes any Aboriginal cultural values. The heritage overlay code details when a heritage impact assessment report is required to demonstrate compliance with heritage assessment criteria (assessment benchmarks).

The heritage planning scheme policy provides a guide for preparing a heritage impact assessment report.

Lodging a detailed heritage impact assessment report will assist with a quicker assessment process. Ensure the report incorporates the guidance and advice contained within the heritage planning scheme policy and achieves the outcomes in the City Plan.
