Transport air quality corridor

New development within the Transport air quality corridor overlay must comply with the requirements of Brisbane City Plan 2014.

Development proposals within this overlay may be required to submit a Transport air quality corridor report with the development application. This report must demonstrate how a multiple dwelling development, residential care facility or retirement facility incorporates best practice built form and landscape design elements to maximise wind movement around buildings and the dispersion of road-traffic air pollutants.

The Transport air quality corridor planning scheme policy in Schedule 6 includes information for preparing this report. Council's Guide to development in the Transport air quality corridor overlay may provide additional assistance in understanding the plan's requirements.
