Plan your Brisbane
Brisbane City Council has announced the Plan your Brisbane initiative to start a conversation about what residents love most about Brisbane and how we can better shape the city’s exciting next chapter.
The initiative follows the Queensland Government’s recently released South East Queensland Regional Plan, which requires Brisbane to accommodate approximately 188,000 more dwellings by 2041 to cater for a growing population of around 386,000 new residents.
Community participation is vital as our city plans for future growth. Plan your Brisbane will include a citywide series of events, school activities and interactive digital opportunities for you to tell Council what you love most about Brisbane and what you think we could do better as the city grows into the future.
There are plenty of prizes up for grabs including a family getaway to Tangalooma Resort, tickets to Wizard of Oz, family pass to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and dinner for two at Mt Coot-tha's Summit Restaurant.
Together, Council and the community will work to develop a charter of guiding principles to manage the future growth of our city.
