Parking permit areas

To address the parking pressures in our growing city, Brisbane City Council has implemented Regulated Parking Permit Scheme Areas across Brisbane.

Each scheme is unique and designed to meet the specific parking challenges of the area and help residents and their visitors access on-street parking.

If you live within a Regulated Parking Permit Scheme Area, you may be eligible to apply for a permit.

Regulated Parking Permit Scheme Areas

Short and medium-term parking and metered parking is in place within Regulated Parking Permit Scheme Areas. Area-wide parking time limits apply to all parking spaces, unless signed otherwise (e.g. metered parking zones). Large signs are located at the entries to traffic areas and parking control areas indicating parking conditions. Regulated Parking Permit Areas are signed using smaller parking signs in each street where parking restrictions apply. Find out how to request a parking permit area.
