City Botanic Gardens volunteer guides
City Botanic Gardens' volunteer guides are a group of people from all walks of life. They share knowledge and enthusiasm for the plant collections and history of the gardens.
There is a volunteer guide intake every one to two years. New guides undergo a comprehensive training program.
You do not need a formal qualification in horticulture or botany to become a volunteer guide. However, good social and communication skills are important.
The next intake for volunteer guides is now open.
Interested persons are invited to make enquiries to apply to become a guide by phoning the Botanic Gardens Administration Office on 07 3403 2535.
Complete the online application form to apply to be a guide. Applications close on 4 March 2019.
For more information about becoming a volunteer guide, phone 07 3403 2531 Monday to Friday to speak to the Volunteer Guide Officer.
