>> FIONA: Hello everybody, it’s me, Fiona.

>> SARAH: And Sarah.

>> FIONA: Here from Bracken Ridge Library. We’re really missing you at Rhyme Time and Toddler Time so we’re recording some rhymes for you to do with us today. So, we’ll start our session of course with our Children’s Acknowledgement of Country.

>> TOGETHER: Here is the land. Here is the sky. Here are my friends. And here am I.

>> FIONA: Okay, so the first song we’re going to do today is a fun song about washing our hands. And if you do this song all the way to the end, your hands will be lovely and clean. You ready?

>> SARAH: Yep!

>> TOGETHER [singing]: Tops and bottoms, tops and bottoms, in between, in between.
Circle circle circle, circle circle circle, we’ll be clean, squeaky clean.

>> TOGETHER [singing]: Tops and bottoms, tops and bottoms, in between, in between.
Scrub them scrub them scrub them, scrub them scrub them scrub them, now we’re clean, squeaky clean.

>> FIONA: Doesn’t that feel nice and clean everybody?!

>> SARAH: Nice and clean hands!

>> FIONA: Now, what have we got in the bag to do today?

>> SARAH: Let’s see!

>> FIONA: Who have we got here? We might have…

>>  SARAH: Who’s that?

>> FIONA: Our crocodile! And what do crocodiles love to eat? It’s our…

>> TOGETHER: Cheeky monkeys!

>> FIONA: You ready?

>> TOGETHER [singing]: Five cheeky monkeys sitting in the tree.
Teasing Mr Crocodile, you can’t catch me!

>> SARAH [singing]: Along came Mr Crocodile, as quiet as can be and snap!

>> TOGETHER [singing]: Now there’s four cheeky monkeys sitting in the tree.
Teasing Mr Crocodile, you can’t catch me!

>> SARAH [singing]: Along came Mr Crocodile, as quiet as can be and snap!

>> TOGETHER [singing]: Now there’s three cheeky monkeys sitting in the tree.
Teasing Mr Crocodile, you can’t catch me!

>> SARAH [singing]: Along came Mr Crocodile, as quiet as can be and snap!

>> TOGETHER [singing]: Now we’ve got two cheeky monkeys sitting in the tree.
Teasing Mr Crocodile, you can’t catch me!

>> SARAH [singing]: Along came Mr Crocodile, as quiet as can be and snap!

>> TOGETHER [singing]: Now there’s one cheeky monkey sitting in the tree.
Teasing Mr Crocodile, you can’t catch me!

>> SARAH [singing]: Along came Mr Crocodile, as quiet as can be and snap!

>> TOGETHER [singing]: Now there’s no cheeky monkeys sitting in the tree.
Off goes Mr Crocodile as full as he can be.

>> FIONA: Oh Mr Crocodile!

>> SARAH: He’s very full.

>> FIONA: He needs a sleep now.

>> SARAH: We’ll put him back.

>> FIONA: Now what else have we got in our bag today? Our favourite…

>> TOGETHER: Scarves!

>> FIONA: These are great to do at home with a tea towel, or a scarf, or a blanket or whatever you’ve got. So, let’s get going!

>>TOGETHER [singing]: Popcorn kernels! Our favourite.

Popcorn kernels popcorn kernels, in the pot in the pot.
Shake them shake them shake them, shake them shake them shake them,
til they pop, til they pop. Woo!

>> SARAH: Yay!

>> FIONA: Alright, which one do you want to do now Sarah?

>> SARAH: So we’ll do the here we go up up up one so it goes…

>> TOGETHER [singing]: Here we go up up up.
Here we go down down down.
Here we go up up up up.
And here we go round and round.

>> SARAH: So we might sing that one again so get ready.

>> TOGETHER [singing]: Here we go up up up.
Here we go down down down.
Here we go up up up up.
And here we go round and round.

>>SARAH: So what’s another scarf song?

>>FIONA: Well I always like to ask my kids "have they had a bath yet today"? And often they haven’t. So sometimes its time to have a wash. So we can turn our scarf into our washer. Obviously this is a great song to do in the bathtub as well. You ready?

>> TOGETHER [singing]: This is the way we wash our arms, wash our arms, wash our arms.
This is the way we wash our arms, early in the morning.

>> TOGETHER [singing]: This is the way we wash our knees, wash our knees, wash our knees.
This is the way we wash our knees, early in the morning.

>> TOGETHER [singing]: This is the way we wash our toes, wash our toes, wash our toes.
This is the way we wash our toes, early in the morning.

>>TOGETHER [singing]: This is the way we wash our tummies, wash our tummies, wash our tummies.
This is the way we wash our tummies, early in the morning.

>> FIONA: All done, do you smell lovely now? So beautiful and clean! But now that you’re clean, guess what we need to do?

>> TOGETHER: The washing!

>> FIONA: Always with the washing. You ready?

>> TOGETHER [singing]: Wet washing, hanging on the line.
Dries so very quickly, when the weathers fine.
Along comes the wind and blows it all about…
Flip flap flip flap, blowing inside out.

>>FIONA: Alright, well thanks everybody, we really miss you. We can’t wait to see you back in the library with us again soon. In the meantime, take care. Bye!

>>SARAH: See ya, bye!
