The State Library of Queensland is not affiliated with Council. Visit the State Library of Queensland website to find out about their services.

Inala Library

The Inala Library will be closed on Tuesday 30 April 2024 for essential roof maintenance works to be completed safely, weather and site conditions permitting. The library will re-open at 9am on Wednesday 1 May 2024.

Access to after hours returns will be available at the library throughout the temporary closure. Alternatively, library items can be returned to any other Brisbane City Council library. 

Mobile library

Council has a mobile library service, which offers a convenient service to residents living in Aspley, Bellbowrie, Brighton, Ellen Grove, Forest Lake, Manly West, Mt Crosby and The Gap. 

The Pop-up library

Council’s Pop-up library brings the joy of reading to Brisbane residents at community events, festivals and selected parks across the city.
