Dog off-leash area maintenance and upgrades

Brisbane City Council is committed to maintaining and upgrading existing dog off-leash areas (DOLAs) across the city. Use this page to find out about current works, including temporary closures.

Current works

East

Carindale Recreation Reserve, Carindale

This dog off-leash area is being upgraded to add new entry gates, install a new footpath and repair turf. Works will take place from 25 January to approximately 15 April 2023.

Quinn Street Park, Balmoral

This dog off-leash area is being upgraded to add new shelters. Some sections may be closed during works from 16 January and 20 February 2023.

Whites Hill Recreation Reserve, Camp Hill

This dog off-leash area is being upgraded to install new shelters. Works will be undertaken from 30 January to approximately 1 March 2023, weather permitting. The large dog park will remain open, but the separate area for small dogs will be closed during works.

South

Beryl Roberts Park, Coopers Plains

This dog off-leash area is temporarily closed for maintenance. Alternative dog off-leash areas are available at Salisbury Recreation Reserve in Salisbury, D. M. Henderson Park in Macgregor and Mortimer Road Park in Acacia Ridge.

Tigris Street Park, Riverhills

This dog off-leash area will be closed from 20 February to 17 March 2023 while Council installs new equipment including a shelter, play equipment and additional seating.

West

Jindalee Boat Ramp Park, Jindalee

This dog off-leash area will be closed between 30 January and mid-April 2023 for turf maintenance. Alternative dog off-leash areas are available at Barcoorah Street Park in Westlake, Capitol Drive Park in Jindalee, Tigris Street Park in Riverhills and Wolston Creek Bushland Reserve Park in Riverhills.
