Kangaroo Gully Road Park learn-to-ride facility - Bellbowrie

Brisbane City Council is pleased to announce works to construct a new children's bicycle learn-to-ride facility at Kangaroo Gully Road Park, Bellbowrie, are now complete.

The new learn-to-ride facility delivers a unique play experience for the local community and will provide more to see and do and provide more opportunities for recreation in Kangaroo Gully Road Park.

About the project

Works included:

  • construction of a new children's bicycle training circuit, including pavement, raised areas, roundabouts, traffic signals, and speed bumps
  • installation of new park embellishments, including a new picnic shelter, pedestrian pathways, seating, drinking fountain, and bins
  • construction of a retaining wall along the eastern boundary of the works
  • landscaping works, including planting of shade trees, screening trees, shrubs, and turf.

Construction began in October 2020 and was completed in February 2021.

Council would like to thank residents and park visitors for their patience and understanding while this project was undertaken.
