About the project
Council is committed to keeping Brisbane clean and green, making our city liveable and sustainable for future generations.
As part of the project, Council investigated providing a playground and picnic facilities next to Brentwick Street in Packer Place. Council undertook consultation in February 2020 to understand the community need for these types of facilities. Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable feedback.
Community feedback on the draft concept plan determined that a playground facility would not be suitable at this location. In response to this feedback, the currently proposed playground facilities will not go ahead. Having considered community feedback, Council will now investigate potential opportunities to provide minor play elements that are set back further from the road in the neighbouring property at 17 Brentwick Street (known as Terry Hampson Reserve).
Further information and a revised concept plan are anticipated to be provided in mid-2020, pending suitable investigation outcomes.
