About the project
As Brisbane continues to grow, it's important to ensure our parks continue to meet the recreational needs of residents.
The Common Park currently provides a hub of active and relaxing opportunities and the skate facility, basketball half court and fitness equipment are well used by the local community.
As outlined in the Norman Creek 2012-2031 Master Plan, Council is looking to expand the recreational sporting opportunities in this popular green space with a scooter track. This improvement will support healthy lifestyles and ensure the park caters to a broad range of ages.
The project will also support increased activation of The Common Park and will deliver a vibrant, liveable new space in addition to the existing well-used recreation facilities.
