Project details
The aim of this project was to improve the diversity and quality of recreational opportunities in the area by removing the existing playground equipment and installing new equipment.
The upgrade included:
- a new climbing and slide structure
- new swings, including a basket swing
- three new rockers, including a double rocker
- new softfall.
There are some large trees near the playground. The new play equipment was positioned closer together to reduce the impact on the tree root systems. The playground still offers the same number of play opportunities.
The playground equipment is now open to the community. Some grassed areas may remain temporarily fenced off while the new turf is established.
