About the project

Council is committed to keeping Brisbane clean and green, making our city liveable and sustainable for future generations.

The purpose of this reserve upgrade project is to investigate opportunities to improve elements of the Mount Gravatt Outlook Reserve to enhance recreation opportunities for the community to enjoy.

Mount Gravatt  Outlook Reserve is located off Shire Road in Mount Gravatt and covers 90 hectares, providing a bush oasis for the community only 9.5 kilometres from Brisbane's Central Business District (CBD).

Community feedback has helped shape the draft concept plan for the Mount Gravatt Outlook Reserve project. The plan includes:

  • upgrades of the Acacia and Federation Tracks walking trails
  • improvements to the reserve entry
  • enhanced facilities at Gertrude Petty Place picnic area and car park (stage two).
