About the project

The upgrade to Murarrie Skate Park enhances the existing facility by developing new and improved skate obstacles and transitions that cater for beginners to more advanced skaters. The upgrade is part of Council’s commitment to creating new lifestyle and leisure opportunities and delivering vibrant, liveable communities.

Improvements to the skate park include:

  • quarter pipes and roll-ins, moguls and jumps/ledges to enhance usability and flow
  • upgrading the old surface
  • addition of a half bowl
  • new seating in various locations surrounding the park.

Construction began in February 2018 and was completed by the end of April 2018.

Council would like to thank residents and skate park users for their patience while these works were undertaken.
