Sandgate Foreshore lighting upgrade - stage 2
Brisbane City Council advises that stage 2 of the Sandgate Foreshore lighting upgrade is now complete.
Works took place from Ninth Avenue at Arthur Davis Park to Cliff Street, and Cliff Street to Shorncliffe Pier, Sandgate.
Construction of stage 1 of the Sandgate Foreshore lighting upgrade took place from Nineteenth Avenue to Eighth Avenue, Sandgate and is also complete.
Stage 1 of the upgrade project removed and replaced the existing pedestrian lighting infrastructure along the foreshore pathway. The new poles are marine grade painted stainless steel poles.

About the project
The works for stage 2 of the Sandgate foreshore lighting upgrade project included:
- installing conduits and electrical infrastructure
- removing and replacing the existing lighting infrastructure with the marine-grade stainless steel, painted light poles and LED lights along the foreshore pathway.
The project improved lighting for all foreshore park users. This is part of Council's commitment to keeping Brisbane clean and green to make our city liveable and sustainable for the future.
