Wynnum Foreshore lighting upgrade

Brisbane City Council is pleased to announce the construction of stage 2 of the Wynnum Foreshore lighting upgrade is now complete.

Works took place from George Clayton Park to Wynnum Wading Pool Park, Wynnum.

Construction of stage 1 of the lighting upgrade was completed in June 2019 and included the area from Breakwater Park to Wynnum Aqua Park, Wynnum and Drevesen Park, Manly.

The project removed and replaced the existing pedestrian lighting infrastructure along the foreshore pathway. The existing poles were replaced with marine-grade, painted stainless steel poles.

About the project

The works for the Wynnum Foreshore lighting upgrade project included:

  • installing conduits and electrical infrastructure
  • removing and replacing existing lights with LED lights
  • replacing the existing light poles with marine-grade, stainless steel, painted light poles, where required.
