Brisbane City Council offers a variety of fitness and well-being activities for individuals of all ages, fitness levels and abilities.
Get active at our free fitness classes, or take advantage of our low-cost activities to help improve your health. Try yoga, tai chi, group bike rides, Zumba, boxing, aqua aerobics and GOLD events for our seniors.
With such a large variety of group fitness classes, there are so many ways to build strength, increase your cardio fitness and help relax and ease your mind.

Queensland Government Companion Card
Please note that active and healthy program events for seniors and kids that incur a fee, now honour the Queensland Government Companion Card.
This allows free participation for anyone accompanying a person with disability who requires attendant care support.

Are you interested in becoming an Active and Healthy provider? We are currently seeking qualified providers who can deliver sessions for skateboarding, cooking, nutrition, aqua aerobics on the north side, ballroom dance, line dancing or other contemporary dance styles. We are also seeking providers who can deliver fitness type activities such as boxing. To register your interest, email the Active and Healthy Team.
Council is looking for group fitness instructors. Become a part of a vibrant team of health professionals that operate Council's two Corporate Wellness Centres in Brisbane's CBD. To register your interest email the Wellness team.
