About the project

A car park upgrade is planned to complement the existing Barungwarra Boat Ramp in Bald Hills. The purpose of this project is to increase opportunities for recreational enjoyment of our waterways for residents.

The planned car park upgrade aims to improve access to the boat ramp at Barungwarra Reserve and will include 19 trailer carparks and 13 standard car parks, including a disabled car park.

Work has started, with completion anticipated in early 2019, weather permitting.

During construction, nearby residents may experience temporary inconveniences including:

  • closure of the boat ramp during construction
  • an increase in noise and dust from works.

Every effort will be made to minimise the impacts from construction works.

Project benefits

Brisbane is a great place to live, work and relax, and Council is committed to creating more lifestyle and leisure opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy.

The car park upgrade aims to improve access to the Barungwarra Boat Ramp for residents.
