About the project

The project will involve constructing:

  • a 7 metre by 7 metre fishing platform
  • a two-metre-wide concrete footpath that will connect the existing shelter area to the new fishing platform.

The completed site will also host a fish cleaning table with a water supply. This will provide a great recreational space for the area.

Work began in May 2019, and is expected to be completed by mid-2019, weather and tide permitting.

Project benefits

This fishing platform will provide new leisure opportunities and enhances access for residents to our natural environment.
