Whether you’ve been bitten by the theatre bug or want to get more in touch with your creative side, Seven Hills Hub at Tallowwood Street, Seven Hills is the space to help you do it.
Located just eight kilometres east of the CBD, Seven Hills Hub is bringing arts to the suburbs and more to see and do by providing a unique facility to give local artists the chance to showcase their skills and talents, as well as a new community space for workshops, events and festivals. Best of all, it’s yours to enjoy!
Your creative space
Look no further for a modern venue with plenty of space to soak up the arts scene and explore wherever your imagination takes you. Formerly a home to the Seven Hills TAFE Institute, Council has transformed the site into a theatre and community hub designed for you to explore your creativity in the hireable spaces.
Seven Hills Hub offers the perfect opportunity for creative types to get in the spotlight without breaking the bank. No matter where your talents lie, you can feel the thrill of performing live in the Ron Hurley Theatre or explore your creativity in the outdoor courtyard and amphitheatre.
Fully accessible for all members of the community, the hub is also a great space to bring people together for a whole range of events and activities. The spaces can be used for community events, festivals, workshops, wellness classes, showcases, school performances and more. Your options are limited only by your imagination!
Even more community facilities will soon be at your fingertips when the newly refurbished Jolly Centre opens from July, with three multipurpose rehearsal and meeting spaces available for hire mid-year.
Arts and culture on your doorstep
Brisbane is brimming with diverse talent and culture that we all love to enjoy. If you’re not ready to step into the limelight just yet, you can still make the most of the unique entertainment right on your doorstep at Seven Hills Hub.
Local theatre groups are already strutting the boards in the new theatre and venue! In May you could catch an ‘Anywhere Theatre’ production from Minola Theatre or Big Fork Theatre. Or get along to see the world premiere of Suzie Miller’s new play ‘Time After Time’ presented by Loreto College.
If kicking back to some tunes is more your vibe, there are also regular concerts and music displays on offer, ranging from contemporary music through to opera!
New events are popping up all the time, so the opportunities for you to be immersed in local talent and be part of the fun really are endless. Exploring the hub could be your chance to learn a new skill, find a hobby, or discover new talent before they hit the big time. Be sure to ask for an autograph, just in case.
Be part of the fun
If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to showcase your talent or try something new, this is it! Venue hire is available at the Seven Hills Hub year round. You can submit a booking enquiry or you can register for updates to find out more about what’s coming up next or the café tender process that will soon commence.
