In addition to the new river crossing, the final design of the city-shaping Kangaroo Point Green Bridge project features two unique riverside dining opportunities, including an above-water restaurant and bar on the bridge, and a new riverside café at the city landing plaza.
Construction activities at the Kangaroo Point site will continue in June 2022, with ongoing preparation for the start of major works including land piling from July 2022.
From early June 2022, a small section of the City Botanic Gardens Riverwalk will be closed for up to four weeks to facilitate major construction activities in the Brisbane River.
Construction activities will continue at the CBD site in April 2022, with marine-based works temporarily stopped and the project’s barges and cranes redeployed to assist with flood recovery activities.
