Golden Boot winners

The hotly contested Active School Travel Golden Boot is still the most sought after inter-school trophy around. Competition was extremely close as schools engaged creative strategies to encourage more students to catch public transport in June, cycle in July, and scooter in August.

Congratulations to St Joseph’s Nundah, Stafford State School, St Sebastian’s Yeronga, Morningside State School and Our Lady of Dolours School Mitchelton who all topped the charts this term. Many schools like Belmont, Dutton Park, Sandgate and Salisbury State Schools were only a percentage point or two away from winning, so keep your eye on the Golden Boot criteria each month, keep up the great work and good luck!

Scootering has been especially popular in August so we are also awarding the September Golden Boot to the school with the highest percentage of students riding their scooters to school.

Here are the results for our top performing Year one, two and three AST schools. How does your school compare?
