New schools joining AST in 2020

More students, families, teachers and principals are ready to travel actively, with 18 new Brisbane primary schools joining the Active School Travel (AST) program in 2020!

The following schools will be creating more healthy, active and connected communities as part of Brisbane City Council’s award-winning three-year AST program:

  • Bardon State School
  • Brisbane Montessori School, Fig Tree Pocket
  • Dutton Park State School
  • Eagle Junction State School
  • Holland Park State School
  • Ithaca Creek State School
  • Our Lady of Dolours School, Mitchelton
  • Our Lady of Lourdes School, Sunnybank
  • Redeemer Lutheran College, Rochedale
  • Seven Hills State School
  • St Columba’s School, Wilston
  • St Joseph’s School, Bracken Ridge
  • St Stephen’s School, Algester
  • Sunnybank State School
  • Whites Hill State College, Camp Hill
  • Wisdom College, Calamvale
  • Wishart State School

Actively travelling alongside the new schools in 2020 are a further 28 schools on their second and third year of the AST program.  

For parents or carers of students at any AST school, please talk to your school about joining their AST committee. Volunteers are always welcome to help arrange fun events and encourage active travel in your community.
