Road resurfacing - vehicle relocation

Brisbane City Council has the authority to relocate a vehicle under the Public Land and Council Assets Local Law 2014 section 36. Council will relocate a vehicle if it is directly impacting:

  • access to the road works
  • the ability to divert traffic to access the works, or
  • there is reasonable chance of damage to the vehicle by working in close proximity.

To avoid the relocation of vehicles, Council notifies residents and motorists in advance of works occurring.

Council will relocate any vehicle that is parked on the roads when there are scheduled works occurring. A sign will be in place identifying the removed vehicle.
