Night works noise - Coonan Street

From Sunday May 8, rock breaking investigation works are required on Coonan Street to install new drainage infrastructure.  These works will start from 9pm after the full closure of Coonan Street southbound is in place, weather and site conditions permitting.  Further notification about the duration and progress of these works will be provided at the end of next week.

Residents should expect:

  • Noise: Due to the unforeseen presence of hard rock within Coonan Street, rock breaking will be required during night works. The rock breaking will generate noise and vibration for neighbouring residents.
  • Access: Driveways may be impacted for a short period of time. Traffic controllers will be on site to assist residents accessing their properties.
  • Traffic Control: Speed limits will be reduced in the area. Lane closures, changes to traffic flow and short-term traffic disruptions are expected.  Traffic controllers will be on site to direct traffic.

We encourage all residents to subscribe to receive regular email updates. To subscribe, email or contact the project team on 1800 572 132 (during business hours). After hours, please call Council’s 24-hour Contact Centre on 07 3403 8888.
