About the project
We have successfully completed works to construct a new pedestrian crossing point and footpath connections on Wadeville Street to the west of Kent Street, as part of the Wadeville Street at Kent Street pedestrian improvements project.
Works began in late May and were completed June 2022.
The completed improvements include:
- a new pedestrian refuge island on Wadeville Street
- new footpath connections and kerb ramps
- new kerb and channel and improved road surface
- improved turfing, landscaping and road line markings
This project will improve the overall safety and connectivity for pedestrians in the local area by providing a new pedestrian crossing point to access public transport and local residential areas.
