Pay your parking fine

Brisbane City Council offers a number of ways for you to pay your parking fine. You can pay online, by phone, post, instalment payment plan, or in person at a Council Business Centre.

Ready to make a payment? It may take up to 24 hours from the time your fine was issued to be able to pay. You have 28 days from the issue date to pay your parking fine.

Council calculates fines using penalty units based on the severity of the offence. Penalty units for parking offences range from 0.5 penalty units to 5 penalty units.

As at 1 July 2018, the value of a penalty unit is equal to $130.55. For more information about penalty units, visit our parking and traffic fines page.

Use one of the payment options below to pay your parking fine.

Online

Pay by credit card online (Visa or MasterCard only).

Phone

Phone 1300 012 747 (have your fine with you) and use a credit card (Visa or MasterCard only).

Post

Send the fine and a cheque or money order to:

If you would like to apply for a payment plan you can:

  • phone 1300 012 747 or;
  • tick the instalment option on the back of your fine and post to:

Payment due

You have 28 days from the issue date to pay your parking fine. If you take no action, Council will send you a reminder notice, giving you another 28 days. You will incur a registration search fee if a reminder notice is sent.

The State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER) deals with unpaid parking fines. SPER will take enforcement action and will charge you additional fees.

Use the infringement number and vehicle registration to check your parking fine information, including the offence location and photographs.

Dispute a fine

Check your parking fine details before disputing a fine.

If you wish to dispute a parking fine, lodge your dispute in writing within 28 days from the date the fine was issued to avoid further notices or additional costs.
